Senior Sales Solution Consultant- North America

Founded in 2009, Our client is the leading supplier of cloud based, risk management software solutions for the energy, commodity, and financial markets. Their SaaS technology uses business intelligence to enable clients to monitor, manage and mitigate exposures arising from market, credit, and compliance risk.  

Following continued investment into its North American commercial operation, the business is expanding its Solution Consultancy capability to support enterprise sales growth across the US market. This role sits at the intersection of sales, consulting and technology, partnering closely with commercial leadership and enterprise customers to shape solution design, guide discovery processes and support complex sales engagements.

Key responsibilities: 

Solution Consulting & Customer Engagement

  • Lead tailored product demonstrations for prospective enterprise customers across the energy and commodity trading landscape.
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, supporting both customers and internal commercial stakeholders.
  • Drive discovery conversations to understand customer business processes, operational challenges and technical requirements.
  • Translate customer requirements into functional and technical solution documentation.

Technical Solution Design & Sales Support

  • Support solution scoping across complex trading and IT environments.
  • Assist with implementation and integration discussions alongside internal delivery teams.
  • Contribute to RFP responses, proposals and technical sales documentation.
  • Advise sales teams on solution positioning, qualification strategy and customer engagement approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Product and Professional Services teams to improve deal execution and customer outcomes.
  • Provide market and domain insight across commodity trading, risk management and operational workflows.
  • Help shape the evolution of the broader Solution Consultancy function as the business scales internationally.

Experience and track record: 

  • Experience in Solution Consulting, Presales, Business Consulting or customer-facing technical roles within enterprise software environments.
  • Strong track record supporting complex B2B SaaS sales cycles.
  • Exposure to ETRM/CTRM platforms, commodity trading technology, risk management software or adjacent energy trading environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise trading operations, risk workflows and integration-heavy ecosystems.
  • Strong ability to balance technical understanding with commercial awareness.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, discovery, stakeholder engagement and solution positioning.
  • Comfortable operating across both business and technical audiences.
  • Collaborative, consultative and customer-centric approach.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Leads with energy, transparency, and initiative; thrives in fast-paced environments
